Raul Assunção is the CEO of Nenuphar Advisors, Nenuphar Frontier and Persimmon Investments Holding, leading a team of professionals dedicated to greenfield development, strategic advisory and M&A intermediation in renewable energy across Portugal, Spain, the UAE and Africa.
With 28 years of experience in the renewables sector, he has successfully developed a portfolio of 1.175 MVA of greenfield projects with Grid Access Permits in Portugal — including qualification for Direct Agreements with the TSO REN — and 475 MVA of early-stage greenfield projects in Spain, spanning solar PV, onshore wind, solar-plus-storage and wind-plus-storage. He has closed Development Services Agreements and asset co-ownership structures with international Independent Power Producers.
He holds an Engineer’s degree in Electrotechnical Engineering from ISEL — Instituto Superior de Engenharia de Lisboa, and an Executive Management degree from Católica Lisbon School of Business and Economics, specialising in Renewable Energy Management.

Asya has worked as an auditor for Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited, bringing rigorous analytical and financial discipline to the group’s commercial operations.
Her background also spans project coordination, report writing, proposal editing and participation in county government forums through volunteer work with several organisations — a blend that brings immense input to the company.
